India, E. Asia and North America. Lupin-like racemes of yellow pea like flowers. Foliage sometimes hairy, silvery or glaucous stems. Suitable for a mixed or herbaceous border or a wild flower garden. Flowers are attractive to bees. Will tolerate a range of conditions. Long lived with tough rootstocks resenting disturbance. Downy yellow pea like flowers, June to July. Hairless stems. Eventual Ht 125cm/4'. Sold in 9cm pots
