Ajuga reptans 'Burgundy Glow'

(Labiatae/Laminaceae) Genus of about 40 species, usually rhizomatous perennial evergreen or semi-evergreen. Good ground cover especially in moist conditions. Found in shady habitats throughout temperate Europe and Asia. Two-lipped, tubular, blue flowers from spring to early summer. Will tolerate poor soils. Leaves richly coloured with silver and wine. Flowers April to July. Eventual Ht 23cm/9". Plants sold in 9cm pots.
